MUSIC!

Just give it a listen, it was sequenced in Cakewalk Music Creator 5, the instruments are layers upon layers of soundfonts to build up what I think is a convincing symphonic sound...

Ladies and gentelmen: The USS Enterprise!

These are "preview" renders. The texture maps are finished, the lighting is more or less done, I just need to work on some material settings. She looks very "plastic" in full light.

Once I get that fixed, I'll do some high-res beauty renders and a few desktops...

Warp Nacelle!

Got to work on the USS Enterprise some more today.

I'm not real sure if I'm happy with the plating, I might have to work on that some more later, but as far as the colors, insignia, and glow effects I'm pretty satisfied.

Working on more textures...

Got some work done on the secondary hull and neck today. I won't have time to work on it over the weekend much, but I'll pick back up on Monday...

Textures on the Enterprise are coming together!

The textures are coming along.

Now that I have the UVW mapping all figured out it should come along a lot quicker...

I'm back.

My computer decided to die on me back in March, just as things were coming along on my model of the TOS USS Enterprise.

I finally have access to a computer that I can work on 3D art with and I loaded up my old files and did a few renders. Hopefully I'll have time to finish her!

Even...

Even so called counterculture has been homogenized, commercialized, they are selling lifestyles, and you are all sheep.

U.S.S. Enterprise: Now with windows!

Here she is all window'd up!

Work is still progressing on the Enterprise.

I'm done cutting all the windows, I just haven't had time to do a proper render with work and such. I'm going to add all the running lights and whatnot next, then on to textures...

The Saucer Section...

Finally got around to cutting the windows and port holes out of the saucer section, on to the neck.

The bridge is done...

Base mesh is done on The Enterprise 2.0!!!

The mesh turned out MUCH cleaner this time, it'll make it much easier to add details.

U.S.S. Enterprise 2.0 - Coming along nicely.

Like I said earlier, the mesh was a mess on my last model, so I started again using what I had learned (it's been forever since I've built a 3D model) this one is turning out a lot more detailed than the last and the mesh is nice and clean, which will help when I go to cut windows in it later.

I hope to get some more work on it done very soon...

Okay so...

I'm actually going to sit down and work on this new model of the Enterprise today. I'm already done with the secondary hull and deflector array.

The U.S.S. Enterprise.

This is the initial version of the TOS Enterprise I modeled in max (click for a larger version), the mesh wasn't quite as clean as I liked to I'm starting on a second version that I will end up making textures for and such, more to come...

Playing with camera settings...

Not a very complex or interesting scene, just wanted to try and simulate chromatic aberration in a render - look at the handle on the lid of the closest teapot, there is some color around it simulating lens flaws (click the image for a larger version, it will be more apparent there).

This will come in handy later with more complex renders, though it does drive render time up quite a bit.

Just a placeholder

I plan on filling this blog with my computer art... maybe some traditional art as well.
